BURSARY’S OPERATION DURING MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (CMCO) [2/2020]

The above matter is referred to.

2. In line with the extension of Movement Control Order (MCO) for another two weeks until April 14, the Bursary will in providing the following services:

(i) Cashless collection management can be done through the E-Pay@UM Portal which facilitates the crediting processes to the relevant funds on a real-time basis. PTj may apply for registration of a new revenue category by applying to bursar_cash@um.edu.my;

(ii) Claims, bills, and invoices that have been submitted to the Bursary (in the system) will be processed in stages. The hardcopy (if and necessary) needs to be submitted to the Bursary after the MCO;

(iii) Procurement activities will be suspended until further notice. All closing dates for tenders and quotations (that falls on 18th Mac 2020 onwards) will be extended for 28 days whilst the new procurement activities will be postponed until 15th April 2020;

(iv) In line with the extension of the closing date, the briefing and site visit dates are also deferred to a later date. PTj needs to reschedule the date and update the information in the UM Procurement & Payment Management System; and

(v) For advertisement/quotation that was closed before 18 March 2020, the quotation is deemed void and need to be re-advertised after the MCO should the approval from the Approving Authority has not been obtained and the validity period of the quotation has expired,
